Mclaren's Lewis Hamilton will find out today whether his appeal against a 25 second penalty at the Belgian Grand Prix will be upheld. If it is, Hamilton will reclaim first place and take a seven point lead in the championship. The FIA's International Court of Appeal met yesterday in Paris and McLaren chief executive Martin Whitmarsh believes they've proved that no advantage was gained.

South Africa has reached another m! ilestone on the road to the 2010 FIFA World Cup with the launch of the official mascot. He's a young leopard called 'Zakumi'. The name Zakumi is a composition of ZA, which is the lettering denoting South Africa and "Kumi", which means 10 in various languages across the country.
